Hey there! I am so glad you found my page!
My name is Anna and I am currently a teacher in Alabama. Teaching is my second career. I worked in the accounting industry for 7 years, where I found myself extremely unfulfilled and longing for more out of life. After a lot of prayer and a ton of planning, I quit my job and began working toward my dream of becoming a teacher. Because I already had my master’s degree, I was able to enroll in the self-paced, online TeacherReady program through a local college which allowed me to obtain my teaching certification in less than a year. Little did I know, a global pandemic would occur just as I was finishing up my certification, making my future as a teacher look a little less promising than before.
To my surprise, I managed to land several interviews and was offered 4 different teaching positions. At the very last minute, I accepted a 2nd grade teaching position at the elementary school I attended when I was a child. I quickly fell in love with my new career and decided to create a space to share my journey and any tips and tricks that have helped me along the way. I hope you enjoy my page.
